do farmers ply their dairy cows with hormones?

this artcle is about this new guidelines that allow thal allow diaries to label milk so that consumers know if that milj has been produced by a cow in a natural, healthy way or if the cow had been injected with growth hormone (rBGH) also known as recombinant bovine somatotropin (rBST), which is usefull for the farmer who will be getting much more milk and faster and oviously for that, much more money too but also the milk will be more chemical and not that healthy and natural.

''This is a victory for free speech, free markets, sustainable farming and the consumer's right to know," Michael Hansen, a senior scientist with the Consumers Union (CU), said about the state's about-face. "Consumers increasingly want to know more about how their food is produced and, particularly, whether it is produced in a natural and sustainable manner. There is no justification for prohibiting information about rBGH use on a milk label.''

i think it is very good what their doing because i think milk with hormones is not good and at least the clients who are buying the milk should know if what their drinking every day is healthy, artificial or what it has, i think this is very good, and people should stop putting hormones to animals!
